Biography

An internationally recognised specialist in cartilage repair and joint preservation, Professor Paul Lee is a consultant regenerative orthopaedic surgeon and the founder of MSK Doctors Research. He established the London Cartilage Clinic on Harley Street, an ICRS Teaching Centre of Excellence, and MSK Doctors in Lincolnshire, where clinical care, imaging, artificial intelligence and regenerative therapies are brought together in one pathway.

His surgical work spans a ladder of cartilage-regeneration techniques, progressing from traditional ACI and MACI to the single-stage STACi procedure and the bedside Nano-ACi application. He performed the first UK Arthrosamid treatments for knee osteoarthritis and has since treated more than 1,000 cases.

He holds a PhD in Medical Engineering and is Honorary Professor of Sports Medicine at the University of Lincoln. He is Editor-in-Chief of Musculoskeletal Regeneration Medicine (Springer Nature), the author of Regeneration by Design and Practical Regeneration, and has more than 100 peer-reviewed publications. He is also the Founding President of I AM Regen, the International Association of Musculoskeletal Regeneration.
